Young Han Solo Role Down to Final 3 Actors
We are getting close to having the next actor to play Han Solo!
Back in January, Disney released their shortlist of Han Solo potential actors and it was quite large. Now according to sources, it seems as though they may have narrowed that list down to the final three actors.
According to sources, last weekend in London tests were conducted involving actors Alden Ehrenreich, who did scene-stealing work in Hail, Caesar!; Jack Reynor, best known for his work in Transformers: Age of Extinction; and Taron Egerton, the star of The Kingsman and Eddie the Eagle.
While it is being reported that these are the final three choices, there is potential that there could be a few more actors left to choose from. Unfortunately Disney is refusing to comment on who those other potential actors could be.
From the three actors we know of here, my choice would be between Alden Ehrenreich and Taron Egerton. Ehrenreich would be on my list essentially for superficial reasons regarding his rugged appearance being the most fitting for the character. On the other hand, I think that Taron Egerton is the all-around best choice of the three. Right now he’s an actor on the rise, he’s proven himself in a variety of roles, and because of that I foresee few difficulties with him taking on the role. Honestly, who didn’t love “Kingsman: The Secret Service?”
Regardless of who they choose, Disney seems to be making great progress with the “Star Wars” franchise. With their first film breaking all sorts of records, I’m guessing that this Han Solo prequel will be a guaranteed box office hit as well. I will definitely be interested to see how they tie things together.
Who is your pick for Han Solo from these three actors?
