Why Ellen Is a Better Oscars Host Than Neil Patrick Harris

Why Ellen Is a Better Oscars Host Than Neil Patrick Harris

Ellen - Pizza - FilmFad.com

AMERICA LOVES PIZZA

Pizza’s here!

Pizza makes everything better, and that includes a stuffy Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences accolade-centric event. What a lot of viewers may not know is that the Academy Awards is a day-long event for most of these A-Listers. With that said, food is often scare whereas booze is bountiful. What soaks up a stomach full of bourbon and beer better than a slice of America’s favored delivery food? NOTHING, that’s what!

Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep

My slice is cold, Take it BACK!

Pre-meditated or not, when Ellen makes the move to order pizza Live during the 86th Academy Awards, she not only ordered up a slice of Americana, but also tantalized the taste-buds of viewers. Few things make these, at times, larger than life Celebs more human and relatable than watching them gnaw on a cheesy slice of ‘za like the rest of us.

Bonus: Making Brad Pitt play the role of waiter, serving the likes of Meryl Streep and Harrison Ford.

It’s magic… or not.

What did NPH do? He had a his Oscar picks locked in a Briefcase under the eyeful watch (no, I don’t mean ‘watchful eye’) of Octavia Spencer… woah, don’t get too crazy now!

FadFact: Given what ABC charges for a 30-second ad during the Oscars, Big Mama’s & Papa’s 180 seconds of on-air pizza peddling was worth an estimated $10.8 million.

About The Author

Pooya

Since his wee lad-dom, Pooya has been a sommelier of cinema. It was likely some acting bug, fallen from the dust riddled ruby curtains of an enchanted old stage that did it. Those cinematic scarabs must have burrowed deep into his brain, irreversibly altering his mind, turning the poor boy down a dismal path. From his earliest years the strange boy would aimlessly wander the aisles of countless video rental stores, amassing his trivial knowledge with vigor. These actions befuddled the boy’s parents, who still would lovingly oblige his unusual attraction to the motion picture. Often seeking refuge in the cushioned seating of his local movie theater, the odd adolescent would immerse himself in the scripted and effects riddled realities unfolding on the screen before him. During his collegiate years, he was twice spotted on stage performing bizarre theatrical rituals before awe-struck audiences. When he departed from academia, he left behind his youth in exchange for a labor routine, but the strange young man never lost his long-cultivated love of film. Recently, Pooya was approached by FilmFad.com to join their budding team of entertainment bloggers. After hours of coaxing and an undisclosed number of honey jars, he accepted their offer. Finally he had come full circle. Finally, at FilmFad.com, he was home.
