Recent 007 Daniel Craig’s on-screen cameo in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ has been revealed along with many other notable cameos.
WARNING: This piece contains spoilers about ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’
According to a report by EW, the current James Bond Daniel Craig is indeed in the latest installment to the official ‘Star Wars’ cinematic cosmos and you’d never guess who he is playing. Concurrent to the filming of ‘SPECTRE,’ what many consider Craig’s final reprisal of the Bond role, the cunning on-screen agent found time to make a clandestine trip to the new ‘Star Wars’ set. Back in May, Simon Pegg spilled the beans that both Craig and he would be involved with ‘The Force Awakens.’ When interrogated by EW back in October regarding the rumor however, Craig had this to say:
Why would I ever bother doing something like that? F—ing hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie.
Well it turns out Simon Pegg’s loose lips were spilling truthful beans, and Bond is a big fibber as Daniel Craig does indeed show up onscreen in ‘The Force Awakens.’ That’s right, and what is even more interesting is that he will prolly be one of the most memorable cameos from the film.

Towards the third act of the movie Daisy Ridley’s character Rey is captured and ‘forcefully’ interrogated by Kylo Ren. In a bid escape, Rey tests her newfound abilities by commanding the Stormtrooper who is guarding her chamber to remove her restraints, exit her cell and leave the door open.
Well, guess what. That was Daniel Craig. The same glossy and albino tinged trooper that calls Rey “scavenger scum” is indeed Stormtrooper JB-007. Fitting name for the Bond actor, but you’ll have to go watch the movie to find out if Rey leaves Stormtrooper JB-007 “shaken or stirred.”
Some other notable celebrity cameos include: Bill Hader (‘SNL’) and Ben Shwartz (‘Parks and Recreation’) as voice consultants for BB-8, Tim Rose reprises his role as Admiral Ackbar, Simon Pegg (‘Star Trek’) as Unkar Plutt, Max von Sydow (‘Flash Gordon’) as Lor San Tekka, Greg Grunberg (‘HEROES’) as Snap Wexley and Lupito Nyong’o who while well publicized may have been missed as the bespectacled Maz Kanata. In addition to those cameos, the voices of both Ewan McGreggor and Sir Alec Guiness are sampled in the film as both Young and Old Obi Won as well as beloved ‘Star Wars’ icon Actor Frank Oz as Yoda. Did YOU notice James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, as Stormtrooper JB-007?
