Based on the Dave Eggers novel of the same name, “The Circle” trailer takes social media to an intrusive level. Bringing together Tom Hanks, Emma Watson, and John Boyega, “The Circle” explores the realm of sci-fi thrillers with its plot. While things seem joyous and innovative at first, we quickly see the darker side of innovation. Take a look at the trailer below.
Alicia Vikander was originally set to play the role of Mae Holland. While things seemed to be set, Emma Watson replaced her just last year. The film also stars Patton Oswalt, Karen Gillan and Ellar Coltrane. James Ponsoldt, known for “The End of the Tour” and “The Spectacular Now,” wrote and directed “The Circle.” Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are acting producers for the film under Playtone.
“The Circle” opens in theaters on April 28, 2017.
