Tracy Morgan Set to Host Saturday Night Live in October
Live from New York! Tracy Morgan is back to host SNL!
After adequate injuries sustained from an accident with a Walmart truck driver, Tracy Morgan is making his first acting appearance since the event and on the show that got him started. On October 17, 2015, Tracy Morgan will be hosting Saturday Night Live as reported by SlashFilm.
In addition, NBC revealed we’ll see Tracy Morgan hosting Saturday Night Live for the second time on October 17, which will mark his first on-screen performance since getting in a multi-car crash in June of last year.
Saturday Night Live is expecting a slew of guests this season including Miley Cyrus and recent “Trainwreck” star Amy Schumer. While Miley tends to stir up controversy and this will be Amy Schumer’s debut hosting Saturday Night Live, many are expecting Tracy Morgan to be the most anticipated host.
Since his accident, many have sympathized with Tracy Morgan and a more recent appearance on “The Today Show” stirred his emotions as well as many viewing the show. With him returning to the show that gave him his start, I’m sure that there will be a grand reception from the audience viewing the show. We could even speculate that we might see a few old cast members make an appearance to show their support for Tracy.
Tracy Morgan has been and will remain one of the icons of “Saturday Night Live” and proved himself beyond the show with his hilarious role on Tina Fey’s “30 Rock.” I would expect many nostalgic moments and characters to be relived when he makes his hosting appearance this October. There are many Tracy Morgan characters to choose from in the SNL library but I personally hope he brings back “Brian Fellow’s Safari Planet.”
