I think little explanation is needed to illustrate Joaquin Phoenix’s jarring lack of charisma. From his false proclamations of holy matrimony to his bizarrely bearded and bewildered appearance on Letterman where he announces his upcoming hip-hop career and leaves his used-gum on Dave’s desk, Phoenix has been both the boy who cried wolf and the wolf who… um… cried boy… in any case he is befuddling in his interviews.
