Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey square off in this trailer for “The Dark Tower.”
Stephen King fans should rejoice as the highly anticipated “The Dark Tower” film is officially on its way. With this trailer that should meet or exceed fan expectations, this film is shaping up to satisfy fan demands. Just from what we can see from the trailer, Idris Elba has already found his way into the gunslinger persona. Matthew McConaughey carries his usual dapper style dressed in all black and I’m curious to see how well he does in a darker role.
It was a little over a year ago when The Dark Tower film was just rumor that Stephen King himself felt was unlikely. The rumors extended to the casting of Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba but with the likelihood of it happening, Stephen King did feel that they would both be cast.
Now with an epic trailer bringing the short story to life, we see that “The Dark Tower” is almost here and arriving just in time for the close of the summer on August 4, 2017.
