J.J. Abrams Told Colbert His Wife Got Him to ‘Lay Off Lens Flare’
In a recent interview on the “Colbert Report”….erghhh….I mean “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” J.J. Abrams was questioned about a more recent conversation regarding his wife. The question involved Abrams’ wife opinion on his use of lens flare in his films and her disapproval. Apparently the last straw for her was during “Star Trek: Into Darkness” when the lens flare overshadowed Alice Eve in a particularly emotional scene. After that, Abrams seems to have changed his opinion on his use of the effect.
