‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ Set Photos Reveal Jedi Temple
The candid set photos for “Star Wars: Episode VIII” reveal Rey and Luke’s training environment.
As Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens ended, we were left with Rey handing Luke his lightsaber on his secluded island on which he had been hiding. With the production teaser we received for “Star Wars: Episode VIII” we can assume that that the film will pick up right where “The Force Awakens” left off. Take a look at the production teaser below followed by some candid photos taken of the set in Ireland.
There is a lot that can be assumed from these photos. As mentioned above, “Star Wars: Episode VIII” seems to pick up where the last film left off and I wouldn’t be surprised if it took place mere moments after “The Force Awakens” ended. It can also be assumed that Luke and Rey will more than likely spend an extended amount of time on this planet which may lead to her training as a Jedi. They don’t spend this amount of time and money on a set for just a few shots.
One thing that many may surprise many is the structure of the supposed Jedi Temple. It doesn’t look much like a grandiose monument to Jedi training but instead looks like a primitive village with the multiple hive-like structures. Given that these photos don’t show the final product (lack of CGI and overall cinematography), the temple we see on screen may be much different than the photos taken above. Either way, I think what we see so far is enough to get us a bit more excited for the film.
