‘Star Wars Battlefront 2’ Confirmed With Single Player Story And More Characters
“Star Wars Battlefront 2” is in the works and EA promises improvements.
Despite Electronic Arts’ justification that “Star Wars Battlefront” focused on the multiplayer experience, overall fans were still disappointed. Based on that disappointment, it sounds like EA and DICE have listened to fans and has confirmed changes for “Star Wars Battlefront 2.” The most important changes come in the form of a single player campaign mode, more locations, and more characters.
“Our next Star Wars Battlefront will be even bigger, taking players into more locations and allowing them to play with more heroes and characters across multiple Star Wars eras. There will be new ways to play, including an all-new single-player campaign and much, much more that we are excited to share with our players in the months ahead.”

To assist with implementing these changes, DICE is bringing in Criterion and Motive, two other EA studios. They will help with shaping the development of the game and the new features for the upcoming 2017 holiday release.
Hopefully the developers have learned from their mistakes as they continue work on “Star Wars Battlefront 2.” While the gameplay was not horrible (in my opinion), the content was very lackluster. As a “Star Wars” fan it’s always enjoyable to interactively take control of iconic heroes and villains. Without the “Star Wars” name attached, “Battlefront” is essentially a lackluster game that would have probably flown under the radar. Let’s hope for the best with the upcoming sequel.
