Things are about to get villainous for our favorite web-head, as Columbia Pictures announces the release date for the next two, that’s right TWO, installments in the blockbuster Spider-Man franchise.
In November 2016, the villains will take the center stage when Drew Goddard’s “Sinister Six” hits theaters. Produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tomlach, this film will be the first of it’s franchise to be released outside of the summer months. Hopefully, that doesn’t impact it’s box office performance. The “Sinister Six” film will be followed by “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” which is slated to web it’s way into theaters in 2018.
Will the powers that be use the classic six, or will new villains get tossed into the mix? Few details have been released about the films plot and casting process, so I guess we will have to just wait and see what is to become of Spidey’s foulest of foes.
