A new photo for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is here and could be a spoiler.
A new photo that emerged today from MakingStarWars.net has led to much speculation regarding the fate of a particular character. While the photo does not directly confirm the theory that surrounds it, it does lead many to think this theory may not be a theory at all, but an actual fact. With that said, I’m warning you now to not read any further if you wish to steer clear of any revelations of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
In a recent Tweet, a photo was revealed and speculation arose regarding the fate of our favorite smuggler Han Solo. While his death is not directly mentioned, it is being questioned why Rey and Chewbacca are piloting the Millenium Falcon and Han Solo is nowhere to be seen. In addition to that, many think that their demeanor and expressions on their faces foreshadow the death of Han Solo.
There could be a number of reasons to explain why Han Solo isn’t present and the expression on the face of Rey. While it is logical to think Han Solo dies in this film, he could also be presumed dead and/or maybe captured and this becomes a rescue mission. But if indeed Han Solo is dead then it would also coincide with Harrison Ford’s desire to have his character die as a martyr. Since “The Empire Strikes Back” Ford has expressed interest in having Han Solo die and if it were to happen in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” then it would be his way of passing the torch to the new cast.
Han Solo’s fate may be uncertain after the reveal of this photo but I’m honestly just happy to see Harrison Ford reprise his role once more if that’s how things turn out.
