‘Monster Trucks’ Trailer Brings Lucas Till’s Truck to Life
The “Monster Trucks” trailer looks like a bio-organic “Transformers.”
The trailer for an odd film titled “Monster Trucks” hit today. It stars “X-Men: Apocalypse” Havok actor Lucas Till in what seems like a derivation of the “Transformers” franchise. The title itself is quite literal in regards to the context of the film. The subject matter is actually about monsters that operate trucks. Take a look at the trailer below to see what I’m talking about.
This film feels very quirky from the trailer. It definitely pokes fun at itself and it seems very simplistic. In addition to Lucas Till, the film cast list also includes Danny Glover, Jane Levy, Barry Pepper, Amy Ryan, Thomas Lennon, and Rob Lowe.
Based on the lack of change in venue in this trailer, I’m guessing that the studios are hoping to inspire a cult following with this film on a lower budget. They’re taking a gamble with a January 13, 2017 release date, but that also means there will be few competitors at the box office.
