Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirms that another “Indiana Jones” film will happen!
Since Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars, that’s what everyone has been talking about. But now that Han Solo has revealed his face, everyone’s asking the question, “What about Indiana Jones?” Well Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy answered that question in recent interview with Vanity Fair and it turns out another “Indiana Jones” film is definitely on their radar.
In buying the company, Disney also got rights, for better or worse, to less-storied Lucasfilm properties, among them Willow and Radioland Murders. A bigger prize is the Indiana Jones franchise. Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie “will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”
Kathleen Kennedy confirmed Indiana Jones but she did not confirm Harrison Ford returning to the role. Notice that she did not use the word “sequel” and never once mentioned the iconic actor’s name. Maybe the rumors of Chris Pratt as Indiana Jones have some merit to them.
If they were going to use Harrison Ford then they would need to get things moving fairly soon. They haven’t even started on a script and it seems like they have only lightly discussed the project. Harrison Ford may be in great shape but for a guy in his 70s, I’m not sure how much longer he can do the stunt work required for these films. He was able to hold his own in the last “Indiana Jones” film and it seemed as though he passed the torch on to Shia LaBeouf (Mutt), but given the poor response to the film, I doubt we’ll see that happen. My guess is that they will be leaning towards a reboot and having a new actor take on the role. They may find a way to bring Harrison Ford back for a cameo but in my opinion, they’re looking for a multi-picture deal and Ford is just too old.

Chris Pratt is a disappointing actor. He isn't bad at acting but he also is not hot and sexy. Who wants to watch a leading man that does not inspire the single ladies? Not me.
Oh wow. So you're that one person who doesn't love Chris Pratt. I've heard of you, but I thought you were just an internet rumor.
