The ‘House of Cards’ season 4 trailer brings new chills and treachery.
The fourth season of the highly acclaimed Netflix series “House of Cards” is right around the corner. With the proximity of the show’s release, it’s only logical that a lengthier, more diabolical trailer should emerge showing the falling out of Claire and Frank Underwood. Take a look at the trailer below.
Now for a quick recap for those who may have forgot about season 3. Like most seasons, “House of Cards” season 4 left us with a cliffhanger. Frank and Claire had worked wonderfully as a team to get to the top in the White House but of course when you’re at the top, there’s nowhere to go but down. With Frank as President, things suddenly became more one-sided as he could not satisfy his own agenda, the citizens of the United States, and the needs of Claire. The symbiotic relationship that Claire and Frank shared was essentially dissolved once they saw it lost its purpose.
I’m personally hoping that this season can pick up the pace a bit. While still entertaining, the show seemed to climax after season 2 given that Frank had achieved his goal of becoming President of the United States. Season 3 was filled with a lot of maintenance and the suspenseful stories weren’t there like they were in the first two seasons.
From this trailer we can see that the story is no longer just about Frank. We’re now led to believe that many of the characters will have their own independent story and this could bring “House of Cards” back on the right track. If the other characters’ stories can be tied to Frank’s story and have their own independent engagement, we could be in store for a surprise with season 4.
