‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2’ Released A Teaser Trailer… And It’s Out Of This World
Fans of “Guardians of the Galaxy” get a double serving of cosmic goodness with a new “Vol. 2” poster AND telling teaser trailer!
“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn teased our cosmic-tastebuds with a cool black and white movie poster. Showcasing the core “Guardians” team with Drax (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and a baby Groot (still voiced by Vinn Diesel) as well as the azure skinned Yondu (Michael Rooker) and newbie Nebula (Karen Gillan). The poster seems like it belongs on the cover of an epic punk rock album, so it’s safe to say that it rocks. On a side note, the poster also has a fun “Find Groot” quality to it… how long did it take YOU to spot our adorable wee woody friend?

The teaser-y (I think that’s a word… no I don’t) galactic goodness doesn’t end there. Shortly after Gunn drops the teaser poster, the official “Guardians of the Galaxy” Facebook page one up the desaturated punk-rock picture with a teaser trailer that is just out-of-this-world!

Immediately noticeable is the massive scale of the space-based action blockbuster. The effects are crisper, the team’s individual powers are more power-FULL and the set is way bigger! We see Gamora tear through the air, we see Star Lord employ his famous “Rocket Boots” and we see more Drax… and It’s everything. Hopefully Bautista’s stoic teddy bear of a character, Drax, gets more screen time in this installment.
Sylvester Stallone, Nathan Fillion and Kurt Russell are just a few of the new big names to come aboard the “Guardians” franchise for the highly anticipated sequel. What started as a Marvel market tester is quickly becoming a flagship franchise of its own.
“Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2” blasts into theatres May 5, 2017.
