“Game of Thrones” Actor Kit Harington was spotted in Northern Ireland…what does this mean?
Do I really need to say “spoiler alert” at this point? Okay fine…blah blah blah…spoiler alert. In the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, Kit Harington’s character Jon Snow was repeatedly stabbed by members of The Night’s Watch. As he lay dying we see pool of blood form around his body assuming that he dies. While many “Game of Thrones” affiliates, including Harington, have said Jon Snow does indeed die, fans have had their own intelligent theories. Based on a sighting today pointed out by Complex.com, it turns out that some fan theories could be correct.
Kit Harington has been spotted this week in Belfast, according to several sources. The city in Northern Ireland is home to the Irish linen industry, the Titanic Quarter, and, oh yeah, filming for GOT scenes in the North and at The Wall.
Does this sighting mean that Jon Snow actually lives? While Kit Harington was not seen while filming for the next season, the location in which he was spotted was near a “Game of Thrones” filming location. Fan theories that Jon Snow could be brought back to life by Melisandre, return as a white walker, or be resurrected through fire revealing a Targaryen heritage could now all be possibilities. Or it could be that Kit Harington is simply filming some flashbacks or the next season will pick up right where it left off with him dying in the snow. Either way, the news of the sighting has fans excited for the potential return of one of the “Game of Thrones” favorites. Personally I feel as though my time with Jon Snow was not finished and he has a story to be further explored.
