First Art For ‘Final Fantasy VII’ Remake Revealed

The first look at the “Final Fantasy VII” remake is here.

While it’s not gameplay, the first look at the “Final Fantasy VII” remake has been revealed. The game’s signature, key art (pictured above) was shown at the opening ceremony for the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary celebration. Square Enix still has yet to reveal further details regarding the game.

According to the director of the game Tetsuya Nomura, they “still have a way to go” before the game will be released to the public. The game is being exclusively developed for the PS4 and will be released in a piecemeal fashion. Players will not get one full release of the game, instead it will be released in multiple parts with each episode being a full game itself.

Released in 1997, 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the original “Final Fantasy VII.” The game has been re-released for multiple platforms but overall was poorly received by fans expecting more. There has also been supplemental references to the game in film format (“Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children”) and appearances in other games from the key character Cloud. The original game is universally regarded as one of the best in the “Final Fantasy” series.
