Final ‘Jessica Jones’ Trailer Has Us Netflix Ready for November
The final trailer for Netflix’s “Jessica Jones” shows and action-heavy Krysten Ritter!
We’ve seen a few trailers for the upcoming Marvel Netflix series. We’ve known about Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones for some time but we were more recently introduced to “Doctor Who’s” David Tennant as the Purple Man. In the trailer below we get to see Ritter start kicking some ass as Jessica Jones and truly exhibiting her superpowers when going up against this formidable foe. I wasn’t so sure about “Jessica Jones” when I first heard about the series. She’s a rather small character in the Marvel universe but I never fully discounted the series. With the success of Daredevil and box office success of the lesser known Marvel characters Guardians of the Galaxy, I always give Marvel properties the benefit of the doubt.
Following suit with “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones” seems to be following many of the same cinematic mechanics. There are similar color schemes, darker tones, and a bit of mystery to keep audiences engaged. It’s not surprising that this series would be similar to “Daredevil” since they essentially share the same setting and I’m sure they will be connected in the future. What’s great about “Jessica Jones” is that it may be the first series to have a strong, independent female lead. If it does well with audiences, this series could be a segway into many future Marvel female-led productions.
