Film Fad’s Top 4 Favorite Movies of 2015
Eric’s Picks
4. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Worth the wait in every single way. There are issues to be sure but much like the original trilogy what’s good is so good that it makes you not care about what doesn’t. It does the unthinkable and revitalizes the franchise that was once thought dead with a perfect balance of nostalgia and great new characters.
3. Ex-Machina
One of the most original ideas for a sci-fi film this proves that with a strong enough concept you don’t need a ton of CGI lasers and aliens to hold an audience’s attention. At times creepy and at other times exciting and romantic, the film keeps you guessing what it will truly be about until the unforgettable ending.
2. Inside Out
Pixar’s best film which is unbelievable praise. It’s fitting that a film that stars the emotional spectrum takes the audience through it. Inside Out never lets its status as a children’s film hold it back from diluting its message or consequences for the characters.
1. Spotlight
An old-fashioned drama about one of the toughest bits of news from our recent past. An amazing cast lead by one of the best new directors make this a must see for anyone. Don’t be shocked if you keep hearing this film’s title come award season. Some may call it Oscar bait but it is worth the hype.
