Ever wonder where your favorite Disney characters come from? This fan made map shows it all!
Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, and even Nemo all have a place in the world. While they may be fictional characters, many of them originate from areas throughout planet Earth. Instead of going through each film looking for the answers, a certain artist/fan has created a visual representation of their locations throughout the world.
While the list of characters is quite extensive, there are a few notable regions where a majority of characters come from. It’s not surprising that most of the characters we know originate from Walt Disney’s home of the United States (North America), but many of the other characters can be found across the world. Here are some of the highlights for those that can’t make out the location.

While this map is extremely cool, I question it being 100% accurate. “Aladdin” is one film in particular that is speculated to be set in Persia but Disney has referenced the palace as being India’s Taj Mahal. I think it’s pretty obvious that “Aladdin” has Persian origins but given that reference I would classify the setting as being unknown to be more accurate.
Outside of being nitpicky, I think that this is a fun image that everyone can enjoy.
