‘CHIPs’ Trailer Premieres Starring Michael Peña and Dax Shepard
The ‘CHIPs’ film adaptation trailer arrives as the next classic TV remake.
Starring Michael Peña and Dax Shepard, the trailer for “CHIPs’ premiered on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in comedic fashion. Based off of the classic TV series of the same name, this film centers around two California highway patrolmen and their misadventures. Take a look at the trailer below.
This seems a lot like the “21 Jump Street” makeover with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. While “CHIPs” was a more serious television show, this film adaptation pokes fun at the original series much like “21 Jump Street” did. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen television make its way to the big screen and I doubt it will be the last. These types of films capture a wide demographic comprised of newcomers interested in the comedic aspects and classic TV viewers looking to relive nostalgic moments.
“CHIPs” is set to release on March 24, 2017 in theaters.
