Lady Gaga stars in Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born” remake.
Making his directorial debut, Bradley Cooper is bringing Lady Gaga to the big screen in “A Star Is Born.” While this news has been circulating, the latest update has provided us with a release date. The film is now slated for release on September 28, 2018.
The film was officially greenlit back in August 2016. In addition to Lady Gaga starring in the film, Ray Liotta is currently in talks for a role. This will be the fourth remake of “A Star Is Born.” Previously Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland, and Barbra Streisand had the starring roles in the first and subsequent films. Janet Gaynor starred in the 1937 original film, followed by Judy Garland in 1954, and Barbara Streisand in 1976.
All of the previous films shared a similar premise. Focusing on a woman entering show business, she enters a relationship with an established male. Things begin to get complicated as his career declines and her career begins to rise. With a similar premise and three previous films, can another remake be a success?
