Black Panther film confirmed by Stan Lee
A “Black Panther” movie is in the works according to Marvel’s own Generalissimo Stan Lee!
At the Fan Expo Canada, Stan Lee was addressing a question (via Comic Book Resources) regarding a standalone film with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. Upon answering, he inadvertently revealed another character who has a film in the works, that character being Wakanda’s own Black Panther!
“The chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies. They are already working on Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and the Black Panther, and there are others I am not allowed to talk about.”
– Stan Lee
This is either Stan Lee getting characters mixed up or he has finally confirmed what we’ve known as the obvious for quite some time. With the next “Avengers” film partially taking place in Africa, it would seem likely that at least a hint of Black Panther would be present. Not to mention that he is also a part of the Avengers team so it would make sense for an introduction to take place sooner rather than later.
I’m personally hoping for an introduction in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” because it would be the perfect bridge into a solo film. With Stan Lee’s words I would say that this seems that much more likely.
