The “Bad Neighbors 2” trailer is here and introduces us to sorority row!
The main cast of the first “Bad Neighbors” are coming back for the sequel with a few new additions. While the first film focused on fraternity life, “Bad Neighbors 2” will flip genders and focus on sorority life. The plot is essentially the same as the first film but instead of Zac Efron being the antagonist like in the first film, he will help Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne to force their sorority neighbors to move out. Check out the trailer below.
It looks Chloe Grace Moretz will play Zac Efron’s role from the first film. After becoming unsatisfied with the conservative nature of a sorority led by Selena Gomez, Moretz seeks to form her own sorority that will be a bit more wild.
Like most comedy sequels, “Bad Neighbors 2” looks like it will have all of the typical elements. The cast is larger, the budget is bigger, and practically nothing has changed when it comes to the plot and flow of the film. I’m sure that it will serve its purpose of supplementing the first film with similar but more lustrous laughs, but my guess is that we can expect many of the same antics.
Chloe Grace Moretz should be an interesting choice in this role though. Everyone loved her role in “Kick Ass” as Hit Girl and that edginess seems to suit her well. She hasn’t seen much success in her recent dramatic ventures so maybe “Bad Neighbors 2” will be the jump start she needs to remind people of why they like her. Hopefully she can integrate herself into the comedic cast well and bring on the laughs.
“Bad Neighbors 2” (formerly “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”) is set for release on May 16, 2016.
