Review: ‘Dig Two Graves’ Is An Impressive Debut For Hunter Adams

“Dig Two Graves” seems to be the little independent horror film that could. It tells the story of a girl named Jake who after her brother dies in a tragic accident is met by a mysterious figure who offers her the chance to bring him back. However it is at a horrible cost. As the characters, especially Jake’s grandfather the Sheriff try to unravel the mystery more of the family bloody history reveals itself.

‘Clerks 3’ And ‘Mallrats 2’ Cancelled, Now What?

Recently indie filmmaker Kevin Smith made headlines announcing a new film on the horizon, ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.’ This would in fact be a sequel to his earlier film ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ which had meant to be the end of the Viewaskew series of films that included ‘Clerks’, ‘Mallrats’, ‘Chasing Amy’, ‘Dogma’, and the aforementioned Jay and Silent Bob original. Minor spoiler but that film ends with God from ‘Dogma’ literally closing the book on the Viewaskew universe. Thinking ahead he left a few pages open for more films in he ever felt compelled. As such we eventually got ‘Clerks 2’ which many viewers felt was a return to form for him.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ vs ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ Which Is The Better Film?

So the new Wolverine film, “Logan” seems to be doing pretty well and as is surprisingly common with this series the future is not certain for the X-Men. They may have kick-started the genre for many in the mainstream, but they certainly didn’t start the Marvel Studios method of planning out their series. Now Bryan Singer said to have had some ideas and plans for X-Men 3 after completing “X2: X-Men United.” However as he left to do his dream project of “Superman Returns” the writers and new director Brett Ratner went in their own direction. The result, “X-Men: The Last Stand” while not necessarily awful or panned at the time it was a disappointment and huge step down from the last two films. After years of getting through the highs and lows Bryan Singer came triumphantly back to the franchise to direct “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In my personal opinion the best film of the series.

5 Biggest Oscars Upsets (Nominated But Lost)

How about that Oscars night huh? ICYMI they announced La La Land as winner for Best Picture to only then reveal it was a mistake and Moonlight actually won. I’ll bet there are some who can think of cases where they WISHED that happened. You may remember last year I did a list about the Biggest Oscar Snubs well I’m back with another about the biggest upsets. It’s true it is just an honor just to be nominated however when you’re beaten by something that was inferior it can be just crazy. Now there are many classic examples you may notice aren’t on this list like “Forrest Gump” beating “Pulp Fiction” and “Shawshank Redemption” or “Driving Miss Daisy” beating “Do The Right Thing” etc. well they’re not here because honestly I agree with the Academy’s decision. Or examples like Eddie Redmayne beating Michael Keaton which is not here because I still haven’ seen “The Theory of Everything” so it’s not fair for me to compare. I will keep an open mind and give it a fair chance for when I eventually do see it. With all that out of the way let’s begin.
