Ant-Man preview ENLARGED reveals Rudd in jail

Ant-Man – July 17, 2015

Marvel released an “ant size” preview of “Ant-Man” today…so we enlarged it!

Today Marvel released an “ant-size” preview of “Ant-Man”. The full size preview will premiere on Tuesday January 6 during the series premiere of “Agent Carter” but of course we couldn’t wait. Below is the “ant-size” preview followed by an enlarged (but unfortunately pixelated) cut of what you’re actually seeing.

The “Ant-Size” version…

And the enlarged version…

As I said, the enlarged version is grainy but it’s the best that can be done given the “ant-size” release. Enlarging it beyond its current size would make it not viewable but from this size we still get some substance from the clip. While grainy, I think we can all make out what happens. Let’s breakdown what we can make out.

Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in Ant-Man

The “Ant-Man” picture above of Paul Rudd has been floating around for awhile. Combining the opening clip with this reveals that Rudd’s character Scott Lang is being taken to a prison on an island which is most likely Alcatraz given the obvious San Francisco location. From there we progress to a more modern lab with a female character who is most likely Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne. We then see a more dated lab with a male character that is presumably Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. After these quick clips we see a bald male in a corporate setting (most likely Corey Stoll as Yellowjacket) walking through an office building. Finally the last clips are composed of a prison brawl (which Lang is most likely involved in) and a few more action shots. The final action shot may be “Ant-Man” in his shrunken size punching but it’s hard to make out.

Unfortunately I don’t think we have much to look forward to from what I can make out. The enlarged clip shows that they still haven’t (officially) shown us the costume in action and are still focused on the characters behind the masks. I’ll still view the clip once it premieres but this clip hasn’t added any additional desire to view “Agent Carter” this Tuesday.

Is there anything we missed? Can you make out anything else in the clip?
