A ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Game From Square Enix And Marvel In Early Development

The “Deus Ex” series is out and “Guardians of the Galaxy” is in!

That’s right, we’ve got multiple “Guardians of the Galaxy” video games coming our way. It was recently announced that Marvel and Square Enix were teaming up and variety of projects were being planned. Avengers was the first topic of discussion and today it was confirmed by Kotaku that “Guardians of the Galaxy” is on the way.

The deal between Marvel and Square Enix included Crystal Dynamics and Eidos working on a project. In addition to the “Guardians of the Galaxy” news, we’ve learned that an Eidos fan favorite series “Deus Ex” is on hold indefinitely. Unless the game “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” gains a sudden popularity surge, that “indefinite” should not be taken lightly. Perhaps this move is opening doors for Marvel development and this second “Guardians” title.

The title that we know of now is a TellTale series game. This style of game is very story driven but contains less interactivity than your normal video game. While we do not know much about this second game, I think it’s safe to assume that there will be a lot more interactive gameplay than the TellTale version.

Tell us your thoughts and expectations of this new “Guardians of the Galaxy” announcement in the comments below!
