Hot Tub Time Machine 2 2nd trailer is hilarious
The second “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” trailer brings more laughs than the first!
It’s been awhile since we’ve discussed the “Hot Tub Time Machine” sequel but just recently the second trailer surfaced. Compared to the first trailer (which was filled with dick jokes), this trailer gets a little bit more creative with the humor. Take a look for yourself at the trailer below.
I have to say that my favorite laugh out loud moment was Craig T. Robinson’s Lisa Loeb tribute. Generational humor fits perfect with the time traveling aspects of this film and they need to capitalize on that type of humor. Sure some of the raunchy moments are funny but only when they are abrupt and catch you off guard. Many viewers complain about raunchy humor because overuse of it is just lazy and audiences notice that.
Outside of the change of pace, I think that the smartest decision made with “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” was replacing John Cusack with Adam Scott. Cusack was the outlier in the last film being the only one not seasoned in the film’s type of comedy. Adam Scott has proven himself time and time again when it comes to this style of comedy and will be a welcomed addition to the crew.
With a revitalized cast and a potential opportunity for more generational humor, I think that “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” could break the usual sequel rule and be better than the first film. The film releases on April 10, 2015.
