Liam Neeson explores comedy joining the cast of Ted 2
Liam Neeson joins the cast of Seth McFarlane’s “Ted 2!”
Liam Neeson has become a reluctant action badass since films like “Taken” and “The Grey” but he may be trying to stray from those typecast roles. He recently appeared in Seth McFarlane’s comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West” and now McFarlane and Neeson are teaming up again for “Ted 2.”
Sources have confirmed that Neeson has joined the cast of Ted 2, which writer/director Seth MacFarlane tweeted on Wednesday. Sources also confirmed the casting of Morgan Freeman, which was reported earlier this month.
With Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman attached to “Ted 2” the sequel may be even funnier than the first film. Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman are known for their serious roles and having them in a crude comedic role will definitely draw in the crowds. We’ve seen both actors do some light comedy here and there but “Ted” is known for being crude and offensive which should provide some shock value laughs seeing these actors outside of their comfort zone.
Personally I’m looking more forward to “Ted 2” than the first film, how about you?
