“Daredevil” Season 2 Trailer Leaked
The trailer for season 2 of Netflix and Marvel’s collaborative series Daredevil was leaked online today. The full official trailer which was shown this weekend at New York Comic Con, and most likely the source of the leak, was then released shortly thereafter.
The trailer, which is a little over two minutes long, starts with a reel recap from season one, and it is only in the last 35 seconds that we get a short teaser of the coming season. It starts with a usual Matt Murdock confession to his priest and ends with a cut to black voice-over from the highly anticipated costar of the coming season.

Season 2 is set to debut sometime in 2016 and with the recent Netflix rate hike in our future it is good to see that they plan to continue giving us quality Marvel programming. Season 1 was very well received from fans and critics alike, but one of the criticisms on both sides was that Vincent D’Onofrio stole the spotlight from Charlie Cox’s Daredevil with his spot-on sinister and psychopathic portrayal of Wilson Fisk. This season could fall into the same trap with the arrival of Walking Dead alumni Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. In the 35 second reel of season 2 we see an x-ray of his logo, rounds from his shotgun, and his shadow in the corridor of a hospital saying “BEG.”
It is possible this Daredevil series has taken a page from the Batman playbook and will continue to focus more on the villains than the hero to drive the popularity of their story. In the first season I found myself rooting for The Kingpin and it is certain that the Frank Castle screen time is what I and many fans are looking forward to the most for this season. The “Man Without Fear” may have his greatest fear become being pushed out of the spotlight again.
