Ghostbusters reboot coming with female leads?

“Ghostbusters” has been a topic of discussion for years since a third film has been a discussion. While the third film has been a disaster even in regards to accepting a script, it seems like a reboot may be the solution to getting another “Ghostbusters” film.
Director Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids”) is being courted to both direct and produce a “Ghostbusters” reboot but having the main characters as women. Since he has been closely tied to Melissa McCarthy with two films (“Bridesmaids” and “The Heat”), I would say it’s a strong possibility that she could be one of the “Ghostbusters.”

What does this mean for “Ghostbusters?” Does this mean that we won’t get the third installment that we’ve all been patiently waiting for? Are we going to have to settle for Hollywood’s latest simple solution of the reboot? What do you all think of your favorite characters possibly being portrayed as women?
